ENVIRONMENTAL TERRORISM JOINS CORPORATE OLIGARCHY

The United States has found another goldmine for corporate profit. 9/11 and 'Al Qaida' are invoked. Israel is involved. The project is under the auspices of "NATO", which is fundamentally a US government-run organisation (see Nato: the Bathtub of Unreadiness (05.09.06).

"The project has a budget of €300,000 and is due to be completed at the end of 2008. ‘NATO will finance an interdisciplinary research project by Technion - Israel Institute of Technology on protecting water supplies against biological and chemical terrorism. This is the first research project of its kind in Israel, and is in response to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and the subsequent anthrax attacks in the US."

The article continues: "Prof. Israel Schechter of the Faculty of Chemistry said, “After al-Qaida documents and plans were discovered in Afghanistan, the FBI warned that the organization was planning to attack water sources. It turns out that water dispersal systems in the US, Israel, and other developed countries in the world are completely exposed. They are outdoors, with no guards. The systems are large and numerous, and guards cannot be placed at all of them. An expert panel examined the issue and gave its recommendations to Congress, which allocated $608 million to solve the problem.”

Schechter continues: “I tried to think like a terrorist and discovered a way to place a handful of a certain poison into water sources that could kill large numbers of people, despite the dilution factor. That’s why I started to develop a device that can detect chemical poisons in water and neutralize them.”

I see. It is fine for a government-sponsored person to 'think like a terrorist.' But if any of us, the general public, tried 'to think like a terrorist,' or - worse - PROTESTED government actions, we would be victims of eavesdropping, stopped at airports, denied lecture giving, removed from the internet, arrested, and US-illegally-whisked away to be tortured.

Perhaps it is in the general interest of the public for the U.S. government / FBI / NATO / Technion to publish these documents? We don't wish to again be fooled into believing what we are (Niger cake;WMD;45 minutes) told by government sources about 'documents.'

Environmental terrorism has now joined the US greed guzzlers, who are also making a fortune in security companies, the arms industry and homeland security. All on behalf of the 'War on Terror.' Clever government!

Many people the world over think that the U.S. government are the real 'terrorists'; that the 'War on Terror' is a sham on behalf of the corporate oligarchy.
